Position Title:  Public Outreach and Development Coordinator

Reports To:  SBCC Specialist

Location of Job:  Beijing, China

Public Outreach and Development Coordinator, is responsible for developing, maintaining and nurturing relations with school and teachers engaged and enrolled in IFAW’s Animal Action Education program (AAE), in both mainland China and other Chinese language regions in Asia. The coordinator is also responsible for planning, processing, producing and implementing AAE materials, activities and workshops. The position needs to analyze and interpret the major outcomes of AAE into measurable and meaningful achievements for obtains support from doors to further development of the program.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

Keeping synchronized with the AAE international team on theme, timing and planned activities

Localizing AAE materials into Chinese language and adapt the materials into local relevant and resonating messages to cater Chinese students and teachers

Collaborating with program staff to develop local applicable school curricula and activities

Supporting the schools and teachers engaged in the AAE to better integrate animal welfare into school’s everyday education and activities

Developing, maintaining and nurturing relations with a network of core teachers and best practice schools that will lead animal welfare education course in IFAW identified strategically important geographic locations and among demographic groups in China

Developing, creating and producing materials and workshops in collaboration AAE international, IFAW program team and core teachers team to enhance and expand Chinese education workers’ understanding of animal welfare and further disseminate the value in other schools

Building, maintaining and nurturing partnership with key stakeholders such as government agencies, other institutions to expand AAE’s impact and brand awareness in education world

Requirements

College education or higher academic background preferred

Minimum 3 years of working experience in education, sales, marketing,teaching and training experience preferred;

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience with schools, community and other public sector preferred

Compassionate and professional work style, pleasant and appropriate personality, independent and team player

Good command of English and Chinese, spoken and written

Good command of project management and coordination skills

主要职责：

1. 就活动的主题、时间以及规划等方面与AAE国际团队保持同步；

2 .将AAE材料本土化，使其更适合中国学生与老师，并能引发他们的共鸣；

3. 与项目工作人员合作开发适宜本土的课本教程与教学活动；

4. 为参与AAE活动的学校与老师提供支持，从而使动物福利主题延展到学校的日常教学与活动中；

5. 在IFAW认为具有重要战略意义的地域及人口分布区，开发、维护并培育与核心教师及示范学校的关系，以引领动物福利教育课程的开展；

6. 与AAE国际团队、 IFAW项目团队和核心教师团队合作开发、创制教育材料，组办研讨会，以便加深中国教育工作者对于动物福利的理解，促进动物福利价值观在其他院校的传播；

7. 建立与教育相关的政府机构及院所的合作关系并加以维护及培育，以扩大AAE在本土教育界的影响力和品牌知名度。

职位要求:

1. 大学本科及以上学历者优先

2. 3年以上相关工作经验，有教育、销售、营销、教育或培训经验者优先

3. 出众的沟通及人际交往能力，有与学校、社区及其他公共部门沟通经验者优先

4. 富有同情心，工作专业，为人友好，处事有度，独立且有团队精神

5. 中、英文口语及书面表达熟练

6. 规划上可做战略性思考，执行上注重细节，精通项目管理，协调能力出色
